Free Night Sky Program: Starry Starry Sky

NINETY SIX, SC – Ninety Six National Historic Site will host a night sky program, Starry Starry Sky, on Saturday, March 5, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Join the rangers and volunteers on a trip through the constellations, learning their names and the myths that go along with them. Telescopes will also be available to bring the moon, stars, and other astronomical objects closer.

The night’s activities will take place next to the Stockade Fort. Visitors are asked to park in the main parking lot and meet the ranger outside of the Visitor Center. Visitors should wear comfortable closed-toe shoes and weather- appropriate clothing. (Flashlights are encouraged but please do not point them at other visitors.) Please remember to have a mask on- hand since masks are required inside federal buildings, including the restrooms.

Space is limited and reservations are required. To make your reservation call the park at 864-543-4068 extension 3 from Wednesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 4:00. The program is subject to cancellation due to weather. Additional updates will be provided on the park’s website and Facebook page.
