An Abbeville man has died in a motorcycle crash, according to the Abbeville County Coroner's Office.
On the evening of Thursday, May 14, at approximately 6:10 p.m., Abbeville County Coroner's Office responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident on Highway 20 in Abbeville, according to an Abbeville County Coroner's Office news release.
The accident resulted from a truck swerving over the center line and hitting a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle, 67-year-old John Hall of Abbeville, died at the scene from multiple blunt force trauma. Hall was wearing a helmet, and no autopsy will be performed, the Coroner's Office continued.
The case is being investigated by Abbeville County Coroner's Office, the Abbeville County Sheriff Office, and SC Highway Patrol.
