Visitors to Abbeville's City Hall do not need appointment anymore
Abbeville City Hall is now open to the public -- totally.
With the pandemic, City Hall had been open to the public by appointment only for the past few months.
However, as of a recent directive from City Manager Blake Stone, the format changed so that members of the public can simply walk into the City Hall building on Abbeville's Court Square.
The City Hall building and the Opera House are the same structure.
"I just didn't want to keep the building closed for perpetuity," he said.
The City will have masks and hand sanitizer available for visitors to City Hall, the City Manager continued.
